John Grove
Senior Pastor

Hometown: Columbus, NJ

John was called to be the pastor of CBC in 1981.  He describes his time here as a “great adventure” that has been, “exceeding all of my dreams!” Over the years, this church has grown from a small local ministry to a recognized regional voice for the Kingdom of Christ.

John loves being married to his fun and “feisty” Irish-American wife, Maureen!  They’ve raised two sons and are proud grandparents to four year old Zoe.  John loves reading history, kayaking, jogging, outdoor activities and train rides into Philly to see historical sites and eat at the Reading Terminal Market.

Steve Jackson
Staff Administrator / CBC Elder

Hometown:  Bordentown, NJ

Steve has served as an Elder since 2004, and has been on staff since 2007. His duties include overseeing each staff position, and helping to coordinate all the “spokes in the wheel” at CBC. Steve says, “The best thing about serving on staff is being linked together with people who genuinely love God and each other.  They work from the place of freedom in Christ, and submit to one another confidently as unto Him... it's really a blessing to be a part of!”

Steve enjoys playing the guitar, working with his hands, and losing himself in the wondering of God. If given the choice, he would almost always rather be outside and barefoot.
