Prayers For November

"Prayer is the artery connecting our heart's to God's, so His life can flow into us and then through us."- J. Dean

When the disciples prayed together in one accord, they "turned the world upside down" for the Gospel of Christ. (Acts 13:1-4).  You have been invited to enter the very presence of God with your brothers and sisters.  Let's pray these prayers for the month of November.

Thankfulness

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."- 1 Thes. 5:16-18

"Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say again,'Rejoice. 'Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."- Phil. 4:4-7

Heavenly Father, this Thanksgiving and always, we are grateful for many things.  You have blessed our families, our church, and our nation.  We want to take time now to thank you for our blessings:  (take time now to recount your blessings and to thank Him).

Revival - Holy Spirit Conference

Lord, we lift up the spiritual temperature of our church.  Revive us!  Refine us so that we burn hot for You.  Help us to love You with all our  heart, soul and strength.  Open our minds to understand Your Word so that our hearts burn within us. (Ps. 85:6; Rev. 3:14-18; Per. 32-39; Ps. 111: 10; 2 Ki. 23, 25; Lk. 24:45).

Lord,  I lift up the issue of our willingness to be led by Your Spirit.  Holy Spirit, show us any way we are grieving, quenching, or resisting You.  Help us to keep in step with You as we live by You.  Reign in us so that we experience Your freedom.  Lead us into  g race, life, and peace.  (Eph. 4:30; 1 This. 5:19; Acts 7:51; Jn. 16:8; Ps. 143:10; Gal. 5:25; 2 Cor. 3:17; Gal. 5:18; Ro 8:6).

Lord, we also lift up the use of spiritual gifts in our church. We eagerly desire spiritual gifts that You've given for our common good. Help us understand the various gifts  and how they work.  Teach us to use what we've received to serve others and faithfully administer Your grace- whatever form it takes.  Help us exercise our gifts in love. (1 For. 14:1, 12:4-7; 1 Pet. 4:10; 2 Tim. 1:6).

Persecuted Church

Dear Lord, we ask You to give persecuted believers boldness in sharing their faith so that, their persecution would turn out for the furtherance of the Good News (Phil. 1:12).  May You provide for and protect believers who have  been imprisoned, are hiding, or have fled from their communities.  Please encourage the hearts of our persecuted brothers and sisters, to strengthen them and to give them peace.  Many are cut off from God's Word, so we pray that You will bring Scripture to their minds and hearts.  Intervene Dear Lord, so persecuted believers will be defended, released from prison or brought out from persecution in whatever way.  Our brothers and sisters have an incredible opportunity to be a testimony to their persecutors and the world.  May God have mercy on their persecutors and bring them to Jesus.

"Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His Name together."- Ps. 34:3
